Job Description

Provide speech-language therapy to students in a school setting, developing individualized treatment plans and collaborating with educators to support communication development. This role ensures compliance with state policies and contributes to student success through IEP participation.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and identify the communication needs of students within the school setting, developing individualized treatment plans accordingly. Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students, implementing evidence-based interventions to support their communication development. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure effective delivery of therapy services and integration into classroom activities. Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of student progress, therapy sessions, and service plans in compliance with school and state policies. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations to facilitate student success and progress monitoring.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Disorders from an accredited institution Valid Illinois State Speech-Language Pathologist license, ASHA certification, CPR certification Minimum of 1 year of school-based speech-language pathology experience Experience working with pediatric populations Familiarity with IEP processes Ability to work full-time Excellent communication skills Strong organizational skills Flexibility to adapt to different school settings
