Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into an engaging contract opportunity serving a vibrant PreK-1st grade caseload within a supportive educational environment near Plano, IL. This flexible, school-based role is ideal for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and the required state credentials. You will play a key role in providing speech services to a group of 12-15 "speech only" students, collaborating with fellow SLPs in a dedicated speech room.
Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP Endorsement required Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred Familiarity with Easy IEP software is a plus Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills A passion for supporting young learners with diverse speech needs
Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy to a caseload of PreK-1st grade students Conduct evaluations and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) Complete monthly written minutes and maintain compliant records Collaborate with three other SLPs in sharing a dedicated speech therapy space Participate in IEP meetings and work collaboratively with teaching staff Opportunities for both onsite and possibly virtual service delivery
Schedule:
1 day/week to start, with potential to increase to 2 days/week (7:00am-2:45pm) This contract role offers a competitive weekly pay structure along with comprehensive healthcare benefits, dental and vision insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
