Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a genuine impact this school year by supporting students as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist on a dynamic education team. This contract position focuses on making a meaningful difference in the lives of children, providing vital speech and language services within a collaborative, student-centered environment. With three openings available for certified SLPs holding an Illinois PEL, you'll have the opportunity to bring your expertise to a supportive, forward-thinking setting.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an SLP endorsement Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Prior experience working with school-aged children in a school environment preferred Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, families, and students Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy to students with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique needs Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and reports for educational teams and families Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional input and advocacy for students Communicate regularly with families and staff, sharing strategies to support student outcomes Offer consultation and resources to teachers to better support classroom success for all students Step into a role where your passion and expertise will shape the educational paths of students who rely on your care.
