Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type All Job Types Make a genuine difference every day by supporting students in their academic and social development as a Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist in a school setting near the Morris, IL area. Your expertise will directly impact elementary and intermediate school students as you help them develop essential communication skills within a nurturing educational environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
Hold a valid Speech Language Pathology license (SLP - CCC or
SLP - CFY
accepted) Previous experience in a school-based setting is valued, though recent graduates with relevant clinical practicum are encouraged to apply Strong understanding of IEP development, goal setting, and progress monitoring Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and multidisciplinary professionals Passion for empowering children to reach their communication and learning potential
Core Responsibilities:
Evaluate and assess students' speech, language, and communication needs in accordance with state and federal regulations Develop individualized treatment plans and implement school-based therapy services Track progress and complete necessary documentation, including IEPs and progress reports Provide consultation and collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to maximize student success Offer support in developing classroom modifications and communication strategies Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to a positive, supportive school culture
