High School Speech Language Pathologist in Vernon Hills, IL Soliant - 3.9 Vernon Hills, IL Job Details Full-time | Contract $41.40 - $61.40 an hour 2 days ago Qualifications Speech-Language Pathology License Full Job Description Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make an impact as a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic high school setting, supporting students with complex communication needs and those utilizing assistive technology. This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 18, 2026, through June 2, 2027, offering a fulfilling way to grow your expertise while making a difference in the lives of high school and transitional-aged students. You will be part of a collaborative environment focused on accessibility, independence, and student growth. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:00 pm, providing work-life balance and a consistent routine.
Desired Qualifications:
Current CCC-SLP certification Previous experience working with high school and/or transitioning-aged students Demonstrated proficiency in implementing and troubleshooting assistive technology for communication Experience supporting students with complex communication and special needs Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills within a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and develop intervention plans tailored to each student's communication goals Integrate assistive technology into therapy and classroom settings to enhance student participation Provide direct and consultative speech-language services as part of IEP teams Collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to ensure carryover of therapy strategies Document student progress, maintaining compliance with all required reporting measures Support transitions between school stages by fostering independence and self-advocacy skills This position offers a chance to work hands-on with innovative technology and diverse learners, all within a supportive, team-driven atmosphere.
