Job Description
Category Schools - SLP - CFY Job Type Contract Make a positive impact every day supporting young learners within a vibrant school environment! We're seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP or CFY) ready to engage with K-5th grade students for a contract assignment for the 2026-2027 academic year. This rewarding position is based at a single school, providing a stable and welcoming setting where you'll collaborate with a resourceful team to support students' communication growth. Your responsibilities will include managing a caseload of approximately 25-30 students, participating in resource services, and helping students achieve their social and academic goals. Hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:25am to 4pm, offering consistency throughout the school year. The assignment begins August 17, 2026, and concludes May 28, 2027, with new staff training dates to be determined.
Desired qualifications or experience:
Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Current Illinois SLP license or eligibility Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome; CCCs preferred but not required Passion for helping students develop communication skills Excellent collaboration and organizational abilities Experience serving K-5th grade students in a resource or school-based setting preferred Key responsibilities: Provide direct speech-language therapy services to a diverse caseload Develop and implement IEPs in partnership with multidisciplinary staff Monitor progress and maintain accurate documentation Communicate effectively with families, teachers, and staff Foster an encouraging, inclusive learning environment Step into a supportive school community that values your expertise and make a meaningful difference in children's lives.
