Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students across K-12 in the North Suburbs of Illinois, providing vital speech-language services in a dynamic educational setting. Bring your expertise and passion as an onsite speech-language pathologist for the upcoming school year, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and making a meaningful impact on student growth. Your role includes K-12 coverage (specific grades and caseload details to be determined), full-time hours (35 per week), and participation in a comprehensive orientation from August 12th-14th. You will play an essential part in evaluating, developing, and implementing individualized programs to support communication, language, and social-emotional needs for a diverse student population.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL); verification required SLP-CCC or strong Clinical Fellow (CF) considered Schools-based experience preferred, but open to new graduates with strong clinical skills Ability to collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families Commitment to onsite services; remote work is not available for this position Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for assigned students Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals Deliver direct and consultative services to students in classroom and small-group settings Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams to ensure best practices Maintain timely, accurate documentation in compliance with school and state standards This is a full-year contract offering you the chance to work with a supportive team in a well-resourced district.
