Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role where you'll foster student growth as an onsite speech-language pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful difference across a broad spectrum of student needs, working 35 hours per week in a setting that values purposeful collaboration and expertise. In this dynamic setting, you'll make a significant impact by: Delivering direct speech-language therapy for students, addressing assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and receptive/expressive language delays. Conducting diagnostic assessments and evaluations tailored to students from ages 2 to 22 with moderate to severe disabilities. Preparing comprehensive reports and actionable insight based on assessments and in-class observations. Developing and maintaining Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives aligned with state and federal guidelines. Collaborating closely with parents, educators, and fellow professionals to monitor progress and tailor support strategies. Working flexibly and adapting to evolving student needs in a team-oriented environment.
Desired qualifications include:
Holds or is eligible for an Indiana Professional License (IPLA) and a teaching license through the Department of Education (IDOE). Ideally brings 1-2 years' experience as a school-based SLP. Outstanding communication skills and a commitment to collaborative problem-solving. Adaptable and resourceful in support of student progress and team objectives.
