Miami Elementary School This is a 1.0 FTE Speech-Language Pathologist position serving students at Miami Elementary School for the 2026 2027 school year. The anticipated start date is August 5, 2026. Caseload is shared with another full-time SLP. Qualified candidates must hold a valid Indiana Professional Licensing Agency Speech-Language Pathology license and an Indiana Department of Education Communication Disorders license covering grades P 12. Candidates who hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP or CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association are eligible for an additional annual stipend. Lafayette School Corporation serves approximately 7,000 students and is located in Lafayette, Indiana, just one hour north of Indianapolis and two hours south of Chicago along the I-65 corridor. August 2026 Position Summary The Lafayette School Corporation is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students from preschool through grade 12. The successful candidate will assess, diagnose, and treat students with communication disorders to support their access to the educational environment and promote academic, social, and functional success. The Speech-Language Pathologist collaborates closely with teachers, administrators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized interventions aligned with student needs and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution Current Indiana Professional Licensing Agency Speech-Language Pathology license Valid Indiana Department of Education Communication Disorders teaching license Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Prior experience in a school setting is preferred Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills Essential Responsibilities Assessment and Evaluation Conduct screenings, assessments, and comprehensive evaluations to determine student eligibility for speech-language services. Interpret assessment results and communicate findings to parents and educational teams. Participate in eligibility conferences and multidisciplinary case conferences. IEP Development and Compliance Develop measurable goals and objectives for student IEPs. Provide input for students with speech and language as a primary or secondary disability. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local special education regulations. Service Delivery Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services addressing: Articulation and phonology Expressive and receptive language Pragmatic language and social communication Fluency Voice disorders Adapt therapy strategies to support student participation in the general education curriculum. Collaboration and Consultation Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to implement effective interventions. Provide recommendations and strategies for classroom carryover. Maintain positive communication with parents regarding student progress and needs. Documentation and Medicaid Compliance Maintain accurate records of evaluations, service logs, progress reports, and Medicaid billing. Utilize the

Solutions system and other required data systems. Submit required documentation in a timely manner. Professional Responsibilities Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities. Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical and professional standards. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education.
