Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Michigan City, IN, offering a contract role within a school setting. This onsite opportunity entails a 35-hour workweek during the 26-27 school year, focusing on providing comprehensive speech-language therapy services to students.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver speech-language therapy addressing assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and receptive/expressive language delays. Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing as appropriate. Prepare detailed, clear reports based on student assessments and observations. Work with students aged 2 to 22 with moderate to severe disabilities. Develop and maintain IEP objectives tailored to individual student needs. Collaborate and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues regarding student progress and areas for support.Qualifications:
Must hold or be eligible for an Indiana Professional License (IPLA) and a teaching license from the Department of Education (IDOE). Preferably possess 1 to 2 years of experience as an SLP. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Flexibility and strong problem-solving abilities.Benefits:
