Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing functions using medical terminology and anatomy knowledge. Develop personalized treatment plans targeting speech therapy goals aligned with each patient's needs and developmental stage. Deliver engaging therapy sessions focused on improving communication skills, language development, and swallowing safety in geriatric populations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, and other therapy disciplines to ensure cohesive patient care strategies. Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting therapy techniques based on physiology knowledge and assessment outcomes. Document all patient interactions thoroughly in compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain accurate medical records. Experience Adult/Geriatric experience is a plus! Experience conducting patient assessments within geriatric populations, utilizing appropriate medical terminology. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology is highly desirable. Ability to adapt therapy approaches to diverse patient needs while maintaining a positive, energetic attitude.
