Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students' communication and language development as a Speech-Language Pathologist throughout a diverse special education cooperative. This contract role provides the flexibility to work full-time or part-time hours onsite at districts within the Emporia area, serving a vibrant range of schools up to an hour from the main campus. Each day, you'll connect with students across grade levels—whether you're spending time with a small group for targeted interventions or supporting a larger caseload throughout the week.
What You'll Need:
Current Kansas Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Experience working with school-aged children in a school or educational setting Ability to thrive in various elementary, middle, or high school environments as needed Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills Reliable transportation to travel between cooperative locations (Emporia, North/South Lyon County, Chase, Madison, Hamilton, Morris County)
What You'll Do:
Conduct evaluations, develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs Deliver direct therapy, consultation, and support for students (usually 10-12 per day, 50-55 across each week) Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to maximize student success Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings Travel as needed to assigned cooperative locations for onsite service delivery Flexibility is key—this role can be tailored to your availability within the school schedule.
