Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of elementary and pre-k students by supporting their communication growth in a dynamic, school-based setting. This contract opportunity spans the academic year from August 2026 to May 2027, providing meaningful services within a collaborative and supportive educational environment. Work directly with students in both 1:1 and small group settings while playing an essential part in their academic and social success. Key qualifications and desired experience include: Active SLP license with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC required) Experience providing school-based SLP services, particularly at the elementary and pre-k level Skilled in conducting assessments, managing a caseload of approximately 50-60 students, and developing, writing, and attending IEPs Familiarity with Medicaid billing procedures Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively with students both individually and in groups Primary responsibilities: Deliver speech and language therapy services to elementary and some pre-k students on-site Administer evaluations, interpret results, and develop individualized therapy plans Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, documenting student progress and compliance Accurately complete Medicaid billing and maintain detailed records Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student progress Adapt and implement evidence-based interventions to support students' unique communication needs As a contract SLP, you'll be instrumental in fostering growth and confidence in young learners at a pivotal stage in their development.
