Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding school-based role making a real impact as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming 2026/2027 academic year. You will have the opportunity to serve diverse student populations across multiple locations within a supportive and collaborative special education cooperative. Flexibility is a hallmark of this role—whether you're seeking full-time or part-time hours, scheduling is adaptable to fit your needs. Your responsibilities will include working directly with students onsite—either focusing on a manageable daily caseload or building relationships with a broader group throughout your week. Typical caseloads range from about 10-12 students per day to 50-55 over five days. You'll provide direct assessment, therapy, and intervention for students with communication challenges, as well as collaborate closely with teachers, families, and the educational team to ensure students receive comprehensive support.
Ideal candidates should bring:
A valid Kansas SLP license. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). Experience in school-based SLP services. Strong collaborative and communication skills. Dedication to student-centered, evidence-based practice.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Deliver direct therapy services and consult with educational staff and families. Monitor and document student progress in accordance with IEPs. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to collaborative care.
