Job Description

General Responsibilities:
Provide small group speech language intervention for students in grades PK-12 from assessment to implementation.
Essential Tasks:
Administer and interpret language based assessments Schedule, plan, and facilitate intervention groups focused on expressive and receptive language skills Collaborate with teachers, student service staff, and administration to meet the needs of students Maintain accurate student records Communicate regularly and effectively with parents Collaborate with private speech therapists on the implementation of alternative communication systems including AAC devices Perform related tasks as required
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Communicative Disorders or related field Appropriate licensing Knowledge and understanding of neurodivergent learners Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Desire to work as a member of a team Commitment to strong parent and student relationships Excellent record keeping skills Knowledge of and experience with alternative communication systems including AAC devices An understanding of communication deficits of students with ASD and other social cognition diagnoses An understanding of best practices regarding the instruction of students with varying degrees of Apraxia Join us in shaping the future of our students by providing them with the tools they need to succeed academically and socially!
