Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Sebree Elementary School. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with speech and language disorders. Your expertise will help enhance communication skills, improve academic performance, and promote social interaction among our diverse student population. Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students with speech and language disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create supportive learning environments.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff on strategies to assist students with communication challenges.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals.
  • Stay current with best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state regulations.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Experience working with children, preferably in an elementary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of speech and language development, disorders, and treatment methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and staff.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
  • Familiarity with relevant technology and assessment tools.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on industry trends.
