Job Description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, making a meaningful difference for students throughout the academic year. This contract role spans the 2026/2027 school year, with services starting in early August and extending through late May. You'll work closely with preschool learners (at a site to be determined) and students at a local high school. The schedule averages approximately 30 hours per week, providing a balanced workload and valuable clinical experience across two dynamic educational settings.
Key Qualifications:
Active Louisiana SLP license Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Experience (or strong interest) in working within school environments, particularly with both preschool and high school populations Ability and willingness to travel between assignment locations during the week Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills Collaborative mindset to engage with educators, families, and related services professionals
Responsibilities:
Provide speech-language therapy, assessment, and intervention services to designated students Design and implement individualized therapy plans in alignment with students' IEP goals Maintain accurate records of progress and session notes Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on multidisciplinary teams Offer consultative support to teachers and families Travel between service locations as needed for student care Benefits of the
