Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Immerse yourself in a rewarding opportunity serving young learners as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in the Arcadia, LA area. This contract position focuses on early intervention, providing specialized support for children ages 3-4 as part of a dedicated team for the 2026-2027 academic year. Your expertise will play a vital role in shaping foundational communication skills for preschoolers, working onsite for approximately four hours per day, four days each week. This part-time schedule allows you to make a lasting impact while maintaining flexibility in your professional life.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current and valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in Louisiana (required) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Experience supporting early childhood and preschool-aged children preferred Knowledge of best practices in school settings and early intervention Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct screenings, assessments, and direct therapy for children ages 3-4 as part of an early intervention team Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs Collaborate with teachers and families to facilitate optimal communication strategies at school and home Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and school guidelines Participate in team meetings to discuss student progress and coordinate support This role empowers you to foster positive change for young children at a critical stage in their development.
