Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a difference working with young learners as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year! This opportunity focuses on supporting PreK students (ages 3-5) in dynamic educational settings near Marrero, LA. With an itinerant caseload, you'll engage with a variety of students, collaborating closely with educators and support staff to foster early communication development in the classroom.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Valid SLP licensure for the state Previous experience with school-aged children, particularly PreK or early childhood populations, is highly desirable Solid understanding of IEP processes, speech/language interventions, and collaborative service delivery models Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to adapt to multiple classroom environments
Key Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language therapy services for PreK students as part of itinerant support, serving children across different sites Complete thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs Participate in IEP meetings, progress reporting, and ongoing collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Offer caregiver and teacher consultation to promote continuous skill development Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
