Job Description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact supporting students' communication and language development while advancing your career as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational setting. This contract opportunity offers onsite work within a supportive district for the 2026-2027 school year.
Key Qualifications:
Current, active Louisiana SLP License Louisiana Teaching Certificate required Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Previous experience in a school setting highly desirable Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students according to IEP goals Conduct comprehensive assessments and interpret results to guide individualized plans Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development Maintain detailed records and document student progress in compliance with state and district requirements Provide consultation and support for teachers, staff, and caregivers to maximize student success Collaborate with other specialists and educational professionals to foster a positive learning environment Communicate progress and strategies to parents and guardians
