Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting K-12 students for the 2025-2026 academic year. This full-time position offers 32.5 hours per week, working in a diverse school community where your expertise will make a significant impact. Ideal candidates are passionate about helping children communicate and thrive in academic settings. Individuals who possess SLP-CCC credentials and are either monolingual (English) or bilingual are highly valued, especially those fluent in Spanish or English. Additional preferred languages include Portuguese, Cape Verdean Creole, Haitian Creole, and Vietnamese.
Qualifications & Desired Skills:
Current SLP-CCC licensure required Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting strongly preferred Proficiency in Spanish/English is a high priority; other valued languages are Portuguese, Cape Verdean Creole, Haitian Creole, and Vietnamese Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively in multicultural teams Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Core Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy to a diverse caseload of students across elementary to high school levels Complete screenings, evaluations, and documentation in compliance with school and regulatory standards Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support each student's goals Attend IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations for individualized plans Adapt therapeutic approaches to suit each student's language and cultural background This role places you at the heart of a vibrant school community, offering a unique chance to broaden your skills and positively shape young lives.
