Speech/Language Pathologist

Description:

Evaluate, design and implement interventions for students recognized to have language/speech delays and impairments. Complete evaluations necessary to identify students needs and appropriate interventions. Work with special education and general education teachers to develop systemic approaches that allow all students to access the curriculum and make effective progress. Train support staff on appropriate interventions and monitor the implementation of designed programs. Provide Tier 1 & 2 instruction as part of a Multi-Teared System of Support (MTSS) Oversee a direct caseload of students with a variety of impairments and ensure completion of all documentation required by regulation and school procedures. Consult regularly with other members of interdisciplinary teams to monitor progress and design effective interventions. Complete other school based responsibilities as assigned by Principal to develop a positive and safe learning environment.

Qualifications:

MA Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, Masters Degree, experience working in a public school as a SLP, a flexible team orientated individual with attention to detail, at least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
