Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding summer opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a supportive educational environment near Kingston, MA. This contract position is designed for professionals passionate about enhancing students' communication skills during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. The role runs from July 6th through August 6th, with a convenient part-time schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Speech-Language Pathologist license, including Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Previous experience delivering SLP services in a school setting strongly preferred Deep understanding of IEP processes and special education documentation Confidence conducting assessments, developing intervention plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Role Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language therapy to students with diverse needs, tailored to their IEPs Conduct screenings and progress monitoring, maintaining accurate records throughout the ESY session Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement individualized communication strategies Engage with families to support student learning and progress towards their communication goals Foster an inclusive and positive therapeutic environment for all program participants This position offers a chance to work closely with a committed staff and make a meaningful impact during an important period in students' educational journeys.
