HealthPro Heritage Pediatrics is hiring a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for our outpatient pediatric clinic in Plymouth, MA. Position Details:
Full-time or Part-time Hours of Opperation:
8:00am - 6:00pm
Clinical Fellowship:
Accepting CFs who are ending their CF year this summer. Supportive, team-based environment
Compensation:

  • Provides skilled speech therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results of patients.
  • Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, rmending and/or providing assistive equipment/ follow up programs.
  • Promptly and thoroughly documents and maintains clinical and administrative records regarding patient limitations/interventions, treatments, responses and progress to administered therapy as well as discharge summaries.
  • Maintains patient records confidentially.
  • Records treatment charges daily andpletes documentation in accurate and timely manner.
  • Complies with the applicable State Speech Therapy Practice Act, codes and regulations
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.
  • Maintains clean work area, clean treatment rooms and requests needed supplies.
  • Maintains professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.
  • Complies with allpany policies and procedures.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with co-workers and other professionals as it relates to collaboration of care for the patient.
  • Keeps regular clinic hours as approved by Manager.
  • Directs all patient scheduling matters through the front desk coordinator.
  • Attends meetings as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Demonstrate knowledge of principles, techniques, materials and equipment in pediatric speech therapy.
  • Ability to evaluate a patient's speech therapy needs andmunicate the patient's needs to the legal guardian and/or appropriate parties involved in the patient's care.
  • Ability tomunicate with a high degree of written and verbalmunication skills
  • Demonstrate stronganizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of
CPT & ICD 10
coding procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of speech therapy principles and practices.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge ofputer programs (EMRs)
  • Consult and collaborate with School staff and families in regards to students' speech and language deficits
  • Conduct initial screenings as well asprehensive evaluations in the area of speech and language to determine students need for services or need of dismissal from services
  • Participate in the IEP process in developing present levels of performance, goals and objectives, and treatment rmendations for students qualifying for speech therapy services
  • Provide speech therapy sessions through the use of current best practices based on prescribed services in the IEP
  • Maintain all documentation required by the district and ASHA's code of ethics including, but not limited to, daily notes, monthly summaries, and annual IEPs Qualifications
Education:
Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Licensure:
Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible
Certification:
Current state licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as a Speech-Language Pathologist. ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) who arepleting or nearingpletion of their CF year are also encouraged to .
Skills:
Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellentmunication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
