1.0 FTE Speech and Language Pathologist Wilmington Public Schools - 3.8 Wilmington, MA Job Details Full-time $57,271 - $109,685 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Student performance assessment strategies Writing skills Student performance data analysis Speech-Language Pathology License Working with individuals with speech impairments Data collection Language development (child development components) Full Job Description The Wilmington Public Schools seek a Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist. This position will require direct instruction, consultation, IEP, and goal development and evaluation, and service delivery. Candidates must have demonstrated experience in utilizing a variety of assessment tools to support evaluation of students within the areas of language development, understanding, and use as well as the ability to analyze testing data and clinical notes to effectively and thoroughly report on student strengths and deficits. Candidates must have effective communication skills, both in writing and in speaking.
  • Provides direct small group or 1:1 services in a pull out model or within the classroom setting
  • Tracks progress using data collection
  • Develops goals for students and monitor progress
  • Provides services and maintains programs based on goals set by IEP or Learning Plan
  • Services needs of individual children and provides services one to one or in small groups as deemed appropriate
  • Serves as a consultant to classroom teachers as to how to better meet the communication needs of individual children within the group
  • Works in conjunction with the classroom teacher to incorporate the speech/language program into the curriculum
  • Works in conjunction with the team to create Educational Plans for annual reviews and provides input for students who are involved with the three year re-evaluation or initial evaluation.
  • Attends parent conferences whenever needed
  • Maintains a positive learning environment
  • Perform other duties as designated by the Principal/Director of Student Support Services or his/her designee
