Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Join a vibrant community in a beautiful waterfront city in Maryland for a unique travel opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC). This itinerant role serves schools throughout the 2026-2027 full academic year, offering 37.5 hours per week in a contract position designed for professionals passionate about pediatric speech and language therapy. Responsibilities include conducting thorough evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing capabilities using both standardized tests and clinical observations. You will develop precise diagnoses to guide tailored treatment plans. Providing evidence-based therapy and educating patients and families on communication improvement strategies will be key to your role. Accurate documentation of patient progress and compliance with all ethical and legal standards is essential. Collaboration with healthcare providers and participation in multidisciplinary team discussions support comprehensive patient care.
Key qualifications:
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid Maryland state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP Current ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Strong diagnostic, assessment, and therapeutic skills with exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities Proficiency in diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, software, and electronic health record systems Experience working within a multidisciplinary team environment Enjoy the unique lifestyle of this waterfront city including marinas and boating opportunities, plus the convenience of a weekend trip to Washington, D.C., just 1 hour and 45 minutes away.
