Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity where you'll make a meaningful impact on students' communication skills this extended school year. Serving K-12th grade students in a supportive school environment, this assignment offers an excellent chance for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to provide essential ESY services. The school is seeking a dedicated SLP to work 20 hours weekly, Monday through Thursday from 8am to 12pm, starting June 29th through July 30th. If you're located near Huntingtown or Prince Frederick, MD, or in the surrounding cities, this position is perfectly tailored for you.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active SLP license in Maryland Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required Previous experience working with K-12 students in a school setting Knowledge of Extended School Year (ESY) practices Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEPs for students with speech and language needs Provide targeted therapy sessions aligned with individual goals Work closely with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support students' progress Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports Participate in meetings as needed during ESY session Experience the benefit of stable, predictable hours—20 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, leaving your afternoons and Fridays free.
