JOB DETAILS AMN
Healthcare is partnering with a well-respected school district in La Plata, MD currently seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their Special Education team for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. The position offers 37.5 hours per week and is open to both licensed SLPs and Clinical Fellows (CFs), with supervision available. The role involves conducting speech and language screenings and evaluations, developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), providing therapy for articulation, fluency, voice, and language disorders, and collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams. SLPs also participate in IEP meetings, contribute to student progress reports, and maintain Medicaid billing documentation. REQUIREMENTS
Speech/Language Pathologist, Clinical Fellowship School Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) or Related Field State SLP License in State of Residence Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA)
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) Previous experience working in a School Setting, Early Childhood, or Pediatrics Strong Knowledge of Speech and Language Development, Assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members. Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations
