Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make an impact in students' lives as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting a diverse school caseload near Windsor Mill, MD. This part-time contract opportunity offers a flexible schedule (24 hours per week; days are flexible except Wednesdays), allowing you to balance meaningful work with other commitments. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through June 25, 2026, with the new school year commencing July 6, 2026. You'll engage with a caseload of 23 students, ranging in age from 8 to 21, who may present with a wide range of speech, language, and communication needs. Some students may also display verbal or physical aggression, so your calm, compassionate, and adaptive approach will be essential.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid state license or eligibility for licensure as an SLP Previous experience in school settings preferred Familiarity with strategies for working with students exhibiting behavioral challenges Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student growth Document progress and maintain compliance with school policies and federal/state regulations Foster a positive, supportive, and respectful learning environment for all students You'll thrive in a supportive school community that values your clinical expertise and commitment to helping students succeed.
