Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Take the next step in your Speech-Language Pathology career by supporting students and educators in the Baltimore area. A contract opportunity is available for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (CCC) to provide on-site services across multiple schools during the 2026-2027 academic year. Your expertise will help empower students to achieve greater success in their communication skills, with a collaborative team and strong district support.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Active Maryland professional licensure (required upon assignment—must provide verification). Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA. Prior experience in school settings or with pediatric populations is preferred. Ability to complete district-level background check, fingerprinting, and employment history verification as mandated by House Bill 486. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Willingness to work on-site at assigned school locations.Position Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect speech and language therapy to students as outlined in IEPs. Conduct assessments, create intervention plans, and contribute to multidisciplinary teams. Manage and document student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide updates to families and staff. Participate in IEP meetings, consultations, and professional development opportunities. Adapt services and communication strategies to meet the diverse needs across settings and grade levels.Role Details:
Contract position for the 2026-2027 school year (September 2, 2026 - June 17, 2027). Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Multiple district schools; specific assignments and caseload details to be determined. Internal prescreen interviews may be required.
