Job Description

MSAD 60 is looking for a Speech Pathologist to work with pre-k students throughout the district. MSAD 60 has a strong sense of community where special educators and service providers work collaboratively to deliver wrap around services. We are open to innovative ideas and approaches and look for ways to meet student needs in the least restrictive environment. MSAD60 has a well developed continuum of services and a team of speech pathologists to collaborate with. This position would work with students in a variety of settings to develop independence and communication skills necessary for transitioning to their next stage of life as well as accessing their academic and functional goals. The delivery model would be a combination of individual, small group and push-in to a specially designed instruction class with a special educator. Licensing fees and professional development opportunities are paid for by the district Job Responsibilities Design and implement therapy sessions to meet IEP speech and language goals. Complete necessary paperwork in order to meet state regulations. Collaborate with special educators to create language rich environments in the life skills program. Consult with regular educators to offer insight and accommodations to regular education programming for students with language needs. Meet with district-wide speech pathologists to ensure consistent decision making and promotion of best practices.
