Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into an impactful SLP contract role, working full-time in a supportive, school-based environment. This position focuses on delivering high-quality in-person speech and language services to a diverse caseload of approximately 20 students, each with individual communication needs. Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid SLP license for Maine and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Demonstrated expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric communication disorders Previous school-based or pediatric SLP experience preferred Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy goals Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language assessments and evaluations for students with varied abilities Develop and implement direct therapy interventions tailored to each student's needs Create and maintain thorough clinical documentation, progress notes, and IEP reports Work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to deliver coordinated care Attend IEP meetings and provide actionable recommendations for student support Engage in collaborative problem-solving to adapt strategies as needed throughout the academic year This contract opportunity offers a dynamic school setting where your expertise truly matters, helping students build confidence and essential communication skills.
