Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist, working on-site in a vibrant Portland area school environment. This contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with dedicated educators and provide direct support to a diverse caseload of 20 students, each presenting unique communication needs and strengths.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active SLP license in Maine (or eligibility to obtain) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required Prior experience in a K-12 school setting, especially with a range of communication challenges Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills Comfort working independently in a dynamic school environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver in-person speech and language therapy to students with varying communication profiles Assess, identify, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs Document progress, complete required paperwork, and participate in IEP meetings Partner with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes Educate and consult with school staff on student communication strategies Maintain compliance with all regulations and school protocols
