Skilled nursing facility with acute care focus in Waterville, ME Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities for residents in an acute care-focused skilled nursing setting Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing safety and efficiency Screen for dysphagia and coordinate swallow evaluations; refer for instrumental assessment when indicated Document evaluations, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries; maintain accurate and timely records Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, physicians, therapy colleagues, social work) for care planning and discharge planning Educate patients and families on strategies to support communication and safe swallowing; provide coaching and family training as needed Requirements Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the United States (or eligibility for Maine licensure) Ability to work in a skilled nursing facility with acute care needs Willingness to undertake a 13-week travel assignment Availability to start on or around 07/27/2026 Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills; ability to manage a caseload in a fast-paced setting Benefits and Support Guaranteed hours: 35 per week Weekly pay: $2,361-$2,473 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift details: 08:00-16:30, five days per week Start date: 07/27/2026 On-site assignment in a skilled nursing setting Travel and assignment coordination provided through Healthforce Healthcare LLC Find more opportunities Find more opportunities at
