Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a contract position supporting Extended School Year (ESY) services in a K-12 educational setting located in Adrian, MI. This role provides valuable support to students requiring speech and language therapy during the summer months, focusing on pediatric caseloads in a school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language therapy services to students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Implement and support the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices for students with complex communication needs. Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs). Monitor progress and document therapy outcomes in compliance with school and state regulations. Provide consultation and training to staff regarding students' speech and language needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Speech-Language Pathology certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence, CCC-SLP) preferred. Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly within school settings. Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is favorable but not mandatory. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with AAC devices. Prior involvement in ESY programming highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
