Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity tailored for skilled Speech-Language Pathologists excited to support upper elementary students for the 2026-2027 school year. Two contract positions are available, offering either a four days per week or two days per week schedule, allowing you to choose the flexibility that best fits your lifestyle. You'll play a vital role in helping young learners develop their communication abilities and succeed academically.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Eligibility for, or possession of, a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA; strong Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered State SLP licensure (or eligibility) for Michigan Experience or training in pediatric and school-based settings, especially with elementary-aged children Strong collaboration, documentation, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy services to upper elementary students in group and individual settings according to IEP goals Conduct assessments, create individualized plans, and monitor student progress Participate in IEP and intervention team meetings; maintain communication with teachers, families, and professional staff Maintain timely and accurate record-keeping in accordance with district policies Provide consultation to staff to support language and communication needs within the classroom Enjoy the benefits of a flexible contract assignment that promotes professional growth while making a real difference in a school environment near Detroit.
