Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students from 3rd to 12th grade as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming academic year near Flint, MI. The position runs from August 19, 2026, to June 9, 2027, with 37.5 hours per week. Daily hours are generally 7:50am to 2:25pm, but there is some flexibility depending on campus needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active or in-progress Speech-Language Pathologist license (CCC or CFY) Previous experience in school-based settings strongly desired, but new graduates are welcome to apply Familiarity with evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders in a school environment Skilled in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Excellent communication and collaboration abilities working with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and diagnose speech and language disorders among students in 3rd through 12th grades Develop tailored intervention plans and provide direct therapy services in both individual and group settings Work closely with teachers and support staff to promote language development across school activities Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings Foster an encouraging, inclusive environment that supports every student's communication needs Throughout this assignment, you'll play a pivotal role in helping students unlock their potential while enhancing professional skills in a supportive educational community.
