Speech & Language Pathologist Inpatient Part Time

Corewell Health is offering a sign on bonus of $1000 for external hires! About the Unit The Speech and Language Pathology Department is widely recognized for its excellent programs dealing with adult communication disorders resulting from a brain injury, voice problems, swallowing disorders or oral motor dysfunction. We also offer lymphedema services at this location. Scope of Work Provides therapy to patients based on patient need and medical direction. Provides patient/caregiver education and arranges for adaptive equipment as needed.

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS

Master's Degree, Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), ASHA. Experience in adult/children neurological speech and language disorders, evaluation and treatment, including aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, dysphagia, laryngectomy, stuttering, and voice disorders. Experience with head and neck cancer, tracheostomies, cognition, TBI, dementia, and modified barium swallow studies. Certificate of Clinical Competence, America Speech-Language-Hearing Association, (required) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Licensure in Speech Pathology-Michigan (required) or temporary license during the CFY (required) State of Michigan Driver's License
