Maire Elementary / Parcells Middle school Extended School Year (ESY) Teachers Qualifications Valid Michigan teaching certificate preferred Appropriate Special Education endorsement required Ability to motivate children Effective communication skills at all levels Ability to differentiate instruction Ability to document data on student goals and objectives Crisis Prevention Institute certificate preferred Appropriate technology background to integrate with instruction Compensation The ESY pay rate shall be $40 per hour for GPEA members who teach or work in this Program. Total number of positions will be determined based on interest and enrollment. Extended School Year (ESY) Occupational Therapist Qualifications Active LARA Licensure Significant experience and/or coursework in related fields Related academic endorsements preferred Ability to motivate and academically challenge children Effective communication skills at all levels Ability to differentiate instruction Ability to document data on student goals and objectives Crisis Prevention Institute certificate preferred Quality assessment skills Appropriate technology background to integrate with instruction Compensation The ESY pay rate shall be $40 per hour for GPEA members who teach or work in this Program. Extended School Year (ESY) Speech and Language Pathologist Qualifications Valid Michigan teaching certificate preferred SB endorsement and/or Clinical Competence Certificate required Related academic endorsements preferred Ability to motivate children Effective communication skills at all levels Ability to differentiate instruction Ability to document data on student goals and objectives Crisis Prevention Institute certificate preferred Quality assessment skills Appropriate technology background to integrate with instruction Compensation The ESY pay rate shall be $40 per hour for GPEA members who teach or work in this Program.
