Job Description

Category Therapy - Hospital - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a vital clinical role providing in-hospital speech-language pathology services in a dynamic healthcare setting. This contract opportunity is designed for professionals committed to excellence in therapy, supporting adult patients across inpatient rehab and acute care. The 13-week assignment offers a potential path to longer-term placement, allowing you to demonstrate your skills in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule:
Wednesday through Saturday 10-hour shifts: 7:45 am-6:15 pm (negotiable start time)
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required; Master's degree preferred Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Strong clinical experience in inpatient rehab, adult acute care, and adult assessments (including bedside swallow or BIM assessments) Excellent documentation skills with attention to detail Effective communicator and self-starter Experience with Cerner and Epic electronic health records is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments for adult inpatients Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized therapy programs Address a range of communication and swallowing disorders, providing bedside evaluations as needed Partner with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Maintain thorough, timely, and accurate documentation of evaluations and progress Demonstrate adaptability and reliability in meeting the evolving needs of a hospital-based caseload This position provides a collaborative work culture where your advanced clinical skills will make a daily impact.
