Job Description

We are seeking a passionate, fun, and energetic Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) candidate to cover the Kalamazoo County and surrounding areas. Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities Assess & Evaluate:
Conduct appropriate evaluations, assess the home environment, and identify equipment needs relative to speech/language function.
Plan of Care:
Identify functional speech defects and establish a customized plan of care to improve patient function.
Therapeutic Delivery:
Administer speech therapy programs utilizing specialized therapeutic techniques and/or equipment; recommend communication devices/aids as indicated.
Care Coordination:
Confers with referring physicians and other organization personnel to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care that contributes to the total plan of care.
Collaboration:
Participate in case conferences, in-services, and other meetings required to ensure seamless team care.
Documentation:
Prepare and submit clinical notes in accordance with organization policy.
Education:
Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare personnel on the patient's treatment regime.
Professional Growth:
Maintain clinical competency in speech-language pathology practice and theory.
Position Qualifications Education/License:
Possesses a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Must be licensed (or license-eligible) as an SLP in the State of Michigan. (CFY candidates will be considered!)
Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience in Speech-Language Pathology is preferred.
Certifications:
Possesses and maintains a current CPR certification.
Travel Requirements:
Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order and insured in accordance with organization requirements.
