Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with expertise in schools is needed for a contract position supporting Extended School Year (ESY) services in Petersburg, MI. This role focuses on providing speech and language therapy to students from kindergarten through 12th grade, including those using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices. The position offers an opportunity to work within a school setting, delivering specialized services during the ESY period.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language therapy to K-12 students during the ESY program Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Assess and monitor students' speech and language progress Utilize AAC devices effectively to support students' communication needs Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with program guidelinesQualifications and Experience:
Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in school settings Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion or equivalent experience Familiarity with school-based therapy services and educational regulations Proficiency in AAC device use and strategiesLocation:
