Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make an impact in the lives of students by bringing your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to a supportive school environment near Sterling Heights, MI. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals who are passionate about helping children enhance their communication abilities and thrive in an academic setting.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid state licensure to practice as an SLP Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Previous experience working with school-aged children is preferred Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students to diagnose speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress Conduct therapy sessions, both one-on-one and in small group settings Document therapy sessions, maintain detailed records, and report on student progress Participate in IEP meetings and help shape educational strategies Stay current with best practices and state guidelines for school-based speech therapy This is a fantastic contract role for those who wish to make a tangible difference with a flexible school schedule.
