School Speech Language Pathologist - Warren, Michigan ProCare Therapy - 3.9 Warren, MI Job Details Full-time | Contract Qualifications Master's degree in speech-language pathology (SLP) Master's degree Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology Speech-Language Pathology License Full Job Description Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the upcoming academic year, starting August 26, 2026, and concluding June 5, 2027. This contract role is based in Warren, MI, serving a single school with a caseload primarily consisting of students from kindergarten through 5th grade.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting speech and language evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans for a caseload of approximately 53 students. Providing direct therapy services tailored to the needs of children in early elementary grades. Collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student communication development and academic success. Maintaining accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with school and state regulations. Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and revisions.
Qualifications:
Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification (CCC-SLP) is required. Experience as a school-based SLP with knowledge of educational regulations and requirements. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with children, families, and educational teams. Ability to manage a moderate caseload and maintain organized records. Commitment to supporting the developmental needs of K-5 students in a school environment. This position offers 38 to 40 hours per week, providing stable scheduling throughout the school year in a focused educational setting. The role supports children's speech and language development in a single school site, allowing for consistent engagement and impact.
