Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team . Candidate will be responsible for up to 30 hrs/week during the School Year and approximately 45hrs total during the summer session running from July through August. In this role, you will provide services to children birth to 21 in a school setting to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders. Sessions may also take place in the child's home. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping children achieve their communication goals and improve their overall quality of life. Successful candidate must have CCC-SLP, Licensure with MN Department of Health as SLP, and Licensure with Department of Education As a SLP Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language abilities in pediatric patients. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and family input. Implement evidence-based speech therapy techniques to address communication challenges. Provide early intervention services to support children with speech and language delays. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes. Educate families on strategies to support their child's communication development at home. Skills Strong background in pediatrics with experience in school settings preferred. Proficiency in speech therapy techniques and methodologies. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on empathy and understanding. Solid knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to speech-language pathology. Ability to conduct thorough patient assessments to inform treatment planning. Familiarity with early intervention practices for young children with communication disorders. Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.
