Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students during the 2026-2027 school year by providing exceptional speech-language pathology support near Columbia, MO. This full-time contract opportunity will have you working 35-37.5 hours per week in a dynamic split placement: spend half your time at a special education preschool and the other half at a local elementary school, delivering vital services to a diverse student population. You'll work collaboratively with educational teams to help children overcome communication challenges, foster language development, and facilitate student success in both classroom and individualized settings. Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active CCC-SLP and state licensure (or eligibility) required Experience providing SLP services in school settings strongly preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, families, and staff Ability to manage a diverse caseload across early childhood and elementary ages Commitment to fostering inclusion and supporting individual student needs
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language therapy and evaluations, both individually and in groups Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Conduct screenings, assessments, and documentation per district/state guidelines Offer consultative support and resources to educators and families Manage a split caseload between preschool and elementary school sites This unique position provides the opportunity for professional growth, skill-building with different age groups, and the joy of seeing direct impact on students' educational journeys.
