Schedule:
24 hrs./week | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-time Speech Language Pathologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Speech/Language Pathologist will provide evidence-based speech and language therapy evaluation and treatment services to consumers at Fulton State Hospital. The clinician will address speech, language, and swallowing impairments for adults referred to speech therapy by a physician. Services must be delivered in a safe, effective, and clinically appropriate manner in accordance with state agency guidelines, policies, and documentation requirements. Duties The Speech/Language Pathologist shall provide professional speech therapy services requiring the advanced skills of a licensed clinician.
Responsibilities include:
Delivering evidence-based speech and language therapy evaluation and treatment services. Performing speech therapy evaluations for consumers referred by a physician. Establishing individualized therapy goals based on evaluation findings. Planning and implementing speech therapy treatment programs. Administering treatment to address speech, language, and swallowing impairments. Evaluating speech, language, and swallowing functions through appropriate diagnostic testing. Interpreting evaluation findings and treatment recommendations for medical professionals, consumers, and appropriate consumer caregivers. Determining the need for referral to a medical specialist, dentist, or counselor when clinically appropriate. Ensuring services are delivered in a safe, effective, and professional manner. Completing documentation in accordance with the state agency's guidelines and policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must be a qualified and licensed Speech/Language Pathologist with the appropriate certifications, credentials, and professional experience required to provide speech, language, and swallowing evaluation and treatment services in accordance with applicable state requirements and agency standards.
Pay:
$45.00 - $55.00 per hour
