Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A K-12 school in Independence, MO seeks a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to provide vital support to students throughout the academic year. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on childrens communication development in a dynamic educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations
Qualifications and Skills:
Missouri SLP Certification is required Experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist in a school setting preferred Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology assessment and intervention techniques relevant to K-12 students Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff Ability to manage caseload efficiently and maintain accurate documentation
