This role involves providing school-based speech and language evaluation and therapy services to children ages 3-21 with speech and language disorders and other developmental disabilities. Emphasis on culturally responsive services and equitable practices. ___________________________________________________________________ Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Provide direct therapy to patients, utilizing evidence-based practices. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication disorders and strategies for improvement. Collaborate with physicians, teachers, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards. Stay current with developments in the field of speech-language pathology through continuing education and professional development. Provide training and support to other staff members and students as needed. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current Missouri and/or Kansas licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), CFs are welcome to apply. Experience working with pediatric populations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to learn and use web based technology for communication, scheduling, documentation and billing. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual or multilingual abilities. Knowledge of augmentative alternative communication devices is preferred. Previous experience in school, healthcare or clinic setting. Experience A degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field is required. Experience working with pediatric to age 21 populations is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care practices is essential. Familiarity with early intervention strategies and school-based therapy services is a plus. Strong assessment skills to evaluate patient needs effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
