Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Springfield is 60-bed Rehabilitation Hospital. Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital provides inpatient rehabilitation services for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries and other conditions. Our Unit is a very fast-paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow!JOB SUMMARY
: Evaluates and treats patient populations for swallowing, speech-language and therapy needs.Reports to:

Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition. Designs and implements a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient and family. Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress. Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services. Supervises activities of clinical fellows, students, and other support personnel.Skills:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Master's Degree inSpeech Language Pathology Required Licenses:
Licensed Speech Therapist; Current licensure withKY Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hireEEOC Statement:
